共同富裕，可以理解为全体人民共同的富裕生活，这一方面意味着是社会生产力高度发达基础上的富裕生活状态，另一方面意味着全体人民都能够共享生产力高度发达的结果，实现普遍过上富裕生活的状态。在当今中国，实现共同富裕既是社会主义的本质要求，也是中国实现的现代化的重要特征。本书为英文版，以理解中国的视角，从社会主义本质要求和现代化道路两个相互关联的点切入，分析了中华人民共和国成立以来中国走过的迈向共同富裕之路。 -
