作者介绍
E.H.贡布里希教授，功勋团成员（O.M），高级英帝国勋爵士（C.B.E）。1909年生于维也纳，1936年进入伦敦的瓦尔堡研究院任教职。从1959年起，担任伦敦大学古典传统历史教授及院长，直至1976年退休。主要著作有《艺术的故事》（第16版，1995年），《艺术与错觉——图画再现的心理学研究》（第6版，2002年），《秩序感——装饰艺术的心理学研究》（1979年）。还出版有论文集，“文艺复兴艺术研究”四卷，第一卷《规范与形式》（1966年）、第二卷《象征的图像——贡布里希图像学文集》（1972年）、第三卷《阿佩莱斯的遗产》（1976年）、第四卷《老大师新解》（1986年），《木马沉思录——艺术理论文集》（1963年），《图像与眼睛——图画再现心理学的再研究》（1982年），《敬献集——对我们文化传统的读解》（1984年），《我们时代的话题——20世纪的艺术与学术问题》（1991年），以及《艺术史反思录》（1987年），《偏爱原始性——西方艺术和文学中的趣味史》（2002年）。
