内容大纲
本书共8章，内容包括风险与保险、保险与保险的职能、保险的四大原则、英国保险市场、保险公司的组织形式。为了让学生更容易理解，每章课后编排了专业术语翻译、难句翻译、课后练习等内容。学生通过对本课程的学习，能提高阅读金融与保险英文原著的能力，为未来的学习与工作打下坚实的基础。 -
作者介绍
袁建华，男，湖南益阳人，1983年毕业于湖南吉首大学英语系，1992年毕业于上海师范大学英语系，获研究生学历和英语语言文学硕士学位。广东金融学院保险系保险学教授，广东金融学院保险研究所所长，广州市重大行政决策论证专家，广东省政府、广州市政府采购项目评审专家，广东省保险行业协会、保险纠纷调解处置专业委员会调解员，广东珠海仲裁委员会仲裁员。获保险代理人资格证书。1992年，在中国保险管理干部学院任教，担任国际保险教研室主任职务。1995年10月，经过严格的选拔考试，获得由中国人民保险公司公派到英国伦敦学习财产保险理论与实务的机会，通过刻苦学习，获General Insurnce and Reinsurance证书。回国后，从事财产保险理论与实务的教学与研究工作。2002年7月，调入广东金融学院保险系。主讲“合同法与保险”(Contract Law and Insurance)、“海上保险”、“海洋货物运输保险”(双语)、“保险专业英语”、“保险学原理”等课程。近年来，在《改革》、《暨南学报》(哲学与社会科学版)、《保险研究》、《现代财经》、《广东金融学院学报》《金融经济学研究》)、《上海保险》、《中国保险》、《中国保险报》等国内学术期刊上发表论文和译文40余篇。编写专业教材5本，译著1本。主持广东省科技厅课题、广州市社科规划课题、广东省教育厅人文社科规划课题各1项、广东金融学院课题共3项，参与国家社科基金项目和教育部社科规划课题(均为第一参与人)共3项。 -
