        《新时代大学学术英语视听说教程》是以通用学术英语为主要教学目标的大学英语教材,适应我国目前大学英语课程的发展方向。本教程旨在培养学生的学术英语视听说能力,适合各类专业大学生使用。
        本教程的视听材料皆取自近几年国外的权威网站,涵盖自然科学和人文社科不同的主题,选材难度适中,具有科学性、研究性、思辨性,同时兼顾视听材料的人文一眭和趣味性。
        本教程分上下两册,每册包含八个单元主题,涵盖了自然科学和人文社科的重要话题,如食品科学、心理、城市规划、人工智能、行为科学等,主题的选取充分考虑学生的专业学习需求、知识结构和认知水平。每单元由三个部分组成,将学术英语的视、听、说能力训练有机融合在一起,同时注重培养学生的思辨素养。主要结构如下:
        第一部分:听(Listening)。该部分包含两段同一主题的音频和相关听力理解练习。
        第二部分:视(Viewing)。该部分包含与单元主题相关的视频材料。针对每个视频材料,分别设计有视听理解练习(Viewing comprehension)、听力技巧介绍(Academic Listening Skill)和批判性思维训练(Critical Thinking)三项内容,引导学生结合视听材料,掌握听力技巧,与小组成员进行更深入的思辨和讨论。
        第三部分:说(Speaking)。该部分介绍了日常交际技巧(CommunicatingSkill)和学术口语技巧(Academic Speaking Skill),并结合单元主题设计任务让学生和小组成员开展口语活动,操练所学习的学术口语技能。
