本书是以《新峨眉功夫》中文版为蓝本，保留其核心内容，对其中大部分内容进行重新选编与英译而成。全书内容包括总论、武理、武技三个篇章，分析和描述了中华传统武术的继承与发展；编创与研究“新峨眉功夫”的必要性与可行性；“新峨眉功夫”编创与研究的基本理念和创编思路；巴蜀武术历史；峨眉武术的起源、发展、流派和文化底蕴等。本书由浅入深、由简到繁地介绍了六套武术、拳术。本书编写符合武术对外传播原则与武术教学规律，旨在助力峨眉武术国际化传播，服务文化强国战略。 -
