内容大纲
    本套教材分为4册（均有光盘），为基础阶段教材，每册均包括10个单元，共40个单元，每个单元建议用4～6学时（每学时按N45分钟计）。教材使用对象为英语专业一年级和二年级学生，也适合有一定英语听力水平和口语表达能力的英语学习者和非英语专业学生。
    本书为第一册。现将每单元的框架介绍如下：
    主题导：以主题为切入点，选取与主题密切相关的名家名句进行整句听写，选取与主题密切相关的篇章进行与英语专业八级类似的听力笔记填空练习，并设计相关的口语活动。
    影视片段学习：该部分含2个视频，每个大概6～7分钟，纪录片时长为3分钟左右。每个视频设计包括200个单词左右的影片梗概、视频欣赏、注解、练习任务、对白模仿以及词汇解释。
    互动练习：该部分包括3个精心设计的互动活动，涵盖听说读写译5个方面，重点为听说活动。
    文化沙龙：该部分包括5个以音频或视频材料为基础的练习，强调文化性，能很好地弥补前面影片视频语料不够丰富的缺陷。
    补充阅读：该部分为一篇1000个单词以上的阅读材料，选取与主题相关的原汁原味材料，供学生课后阅读思考。
    自主学习：该部分提供影片、歌曲、电视剧等视听材料供学生课后欣赏。
    附录：本套教材学生用书附录包括Understanding Movie Clips中的所有影片片段对白。
