内容大纲
《21世纪大学英语应用型思政阅读教程(4第2版)》包括8个单元，每单元分为4个主要部分。学校可根据课时需求和学生实际情况选用。
每单元第一部分Themes列出与单元主题相关、引发思辨且对学生起价值引领作用的2个“课程思政”话题。该部分一般由Culture Appreciation，Famous Quotes and Activity组成，以文化对比引起学生对相关思政话题的兴趣，以相关主题名人名言作为语言输入，以初步的口语练习作为引发思考和语言输出的抓手。
第二部分Approaching Reading以语言输入为主要目标，让学生在篇章阅读之前先熟悉相关思政主题的语言表达。该部分完全以思政主题为导向，通过含有丰富时代内涵和人文情怀的小句，引发学生对现实问题的思考，锻炼学生的批判性思维能力。第一个环节Useful Expressions列出与课程思政元素明显相关的10个单词或短语，以填空形式进行练习。第二个环节Key Sentences Matching列出与单元主题相关的5个汉语句子（主要选自《习近平谈治国理政》和中国传统文化典籍）及其英语译文，打乱顺序后让学生进行配对练习。第三个环节Translation完成与思政主题相关的汉语句子或段落的翻译。本部分旨在为提高学生“讲好中国故事，传播好中国声音，阐释好中国特色”的能力打下语言和文化基础。
第三部分Passage Reading围绕单元主题选取阅读文章一篇（800词左右）并设计配套练习，思政主题鲜明。该部分文章或来源于经典英文著作，让学生品味经典，体会人类共有的价值观；或来源于描写中国传统习俗文化或当代发展的文章报道，选材兼顾中外，融汇古今，使学生感受中国传统文化的博大精深，培养文化自信。阅读练习的第一个环节Speed Reading是段落匹配，与大学英语四、六级考试阅读题型类似，学生在快速阅读后对文章主旨和细节有初步判断；第二个环节True or False是判断正误，主要考查文章主旨；第三个环节Important Expressions选取文章中思政特色鲜明的英语词汇，进行释义匹配练习。
第四部分Extended Activities是对阅读的进一步拓展，体现可视化与可思性。该部分主要以视听练习为主，包含一个围绕单元主题的短视频，思政主题鲜明，难度适中。第一个环节Blank - Filling是视频的听写填空练习，所填词汇与课程思政主题相关。第二个环节True or False是判断题，针对视听材料主旨和一些细节让学生做出判断。第三个环节Speaking Workshop设计了两个主题的口语活动，与视频主题尽量贴合，同时深化单元主题，以期实现具有挑战性的语言输出。每个主题都提供情景说明和参考表达，且在练习答案中提供了参考范例，以满足不同层次学生的学习需要。 -
